The merger
On April 1st, 2005, FLECHARD and GILLOT merged to create a joint vision for their companies.
Gillot and Flechard companies decided to merge their forces within a single holding company called "Financial Holding of Pont Morin". Common threads can be found throughout their respective history:
- Family-owned businesses,
- Related craftsmanship but different
- A shared vision of craftsmanship and values.
This decision provides greater opportunity for the companies, their employees and their clients, and both in terms distributors and consumers.
First of all, it is an opportunity to keep the activity in the heart of the Orne area and to respect the history of creameries and the craftsmanship involved as well as to save jobs and maintain the company's philosophy.
Secondly, the merger offers the opportunity to launch brand new initiatives, to guarantee future revenues and to maintain the brands as well as to promote regional products that are contemporary and of quality.
Given the focused selection of cheeses produced and the flexibility of its infrastructure, the creamery offers to its clients solutions adapted to their needs: deposited or exclusive branding, customized sizes and packaging.
